What's New? 02-14-07

What's new at Pup'parel  besides the website?

We're still mourning our beloved Tobibody, the CEO of Pup'parel (He died from Leukemia on January 11, 2007), so we're not quite up to our normal speed in creating new designs and finding new garments and accessories.  We miss our Big Dog soooo much!  Needless to say, this month's news is a little brief ...

Our biggest news this month, is the addition of a new capability in our shop -- we can now produce designs with SEQUINS!!!!  Our debut sequin design is "You Had Me at Woof", which is available for any fleece garment including sweatshirts as well as our Ladies v-neck microfleece pullover.   Soon, we expect to have a slightly modified version of this design which will be suitable for t-shirts, too! And, for those of you who aren't crazy about bling, we've created a non-sequin version of "You had me at Woof", too.

In club designs, we've been working with the Greater Atlanta Pug Club to come up with a unique design of the Greater Atlanta Pug Club logo, made with an organza applique.  This design works best on white or ivory, but can be available on black without the applique.

We've added several new patches ... a Handicap Symbol with "Assistance Dog on Duty - Don't Pet", a Universal "no" symbol over a hand, with "Assistance Dog - Don't Pet", and our unique Stop Sign patch with "STOP, Don't Pet, Thank You".  All of our patches can be sewn on to any of our service dog capes or packs, or we can sew the design directly on the dog's garment if you'd like to save money and not incur the cost of the patch. The prices listed for all of our service dog capes and packs include embroidery in one location -- so if you don't need the patch, it is less expensive for us to sew directly on the garment!

In Garments, we've added a new Camoflage Doggie Muscle Shirt!  Plus, you'll want to check back in March, because we'll soon have two new garments for dogs under "Pup'parel --> Pup'parel Casuals" ... a doggie Cargo Tank, and the softest ever, doggie Tank Top which we've chosen specifically to help dogs with skin conditions keep from scratching and biting their itches and making their condition worse!

Most importantly, we've been working with the SPCA of Tennessee to help Daisy -- a young Bluetick Coonhound that needs surgery to correct a problem with a deformed foot.  The surgery will cost $2500, so we've been helping prepare for a fund-raiser in Daisy's honor on March 8 in Nashville, TN.  If you are in the area, please check out Dining with Daisy.  If you're not in the area, and would like to help Daisy, please contact Celina, the founder of the SPCA of Tennessee, or visit their website.
